A hypnotherapist in Seattle who works online
I live in Seattle and I don't keep an office. Sessions are on video, from wherever you are, and most of the people I see are in Seattle, Bellevue and Tacoma anyway. Here is how that works and who it's for.
Who I see in Seattle
Business owners who can't turn their brain off. The founder who is still answering email in bed at midnight. The owner of a two-location business who hasn't slept through the night since the second lease. The consultant whose neck has been locked since March. A lot of them are gay and bisexual men, because I'm a gay man and that's who found me first, and you don't have to be one. If your job follows you home, you're in the right place.
The long version of who I work with, and what I don't do, is on the who-I-work-with page.
Why online, and not an office
When I opened the practice I assumed people would want a room. They didn't. What they wanted was the session at seven in the morning before the first call, or at eight at night after the house went quiet, without driving to First Hill and circling for parking. So I work on video.
It also changes the work in one way I didn't expect. After each session I record a hypnosis session built around your situation, in your language, and send it through the client portal. You listen to it where you actually need it. For most of my clients that is the bed they can't sleep in, not my office.
Registered in Washington
I'm a Registered Hypnotherapist with the Washington State Department of Health, credential #HYPN.HP.70073119. I hold the SUDPT credential and a Master's in psychology, and I spent more than ten years in mental health before this practice, as a psychotherapist in Moscow and then in youth counselling, case management and social work here. What I offer is clinical hypnotherapy with motivational interviewing and parts work. It is not psychotherapy and not addiction treatment. If you need either, I will say so and help you find it.
If it can't wait
Some people find this page on a Tuesday night after a weekend that scared them, or the week the business nearly went under, and a weekly slot three weeks out is no use. For that I run a three-day intensive, one client at a time, usually within the week. If the dates are open I can see you this week.
Outside Seattle
I see people across Washington, in other states and in other countries, all on video, in English or Russian. If you're not sure whether I can work with you where you are, send a request and tell me. I'll give you a straight answer.

What people in Seattle ask first
Do you have an office in Seattle?
No. I live in Seattle and I work online, on video. I tried the office idea early on and the people I work with didn't want it. They wanted the session at seven in the morning before the first call, or at eight at night, from their own place, without the drive.
Does hypnosis work as well online as in person?
In my experience, yes. The state we work in is about attention, not about the room. The recording I make for you after each session is the same either way, and you practise with it where you'll actually use it, which for most of my clients is the bed they can't sleep in. What you need is a door that closes and an hour nobody can take from you.
Are you licensed in Washington?
I'm a Registered Hypnotherapist with the Washington State Department of Health, credential #HYPN.HP.70073119. You can look that number up on the Department's provider credential search. I also hold the SUDPT credential and a Master's in psychology, with ten years in mental health before I opened this practice.
I'm not in Seattle. Can I still work with you?
Most likely. I see people across Washington, in other states, and in other countries, all on video. Send a request and tell me where you are, and I'll tell you plainly whether I can work with you.
How soon can I start?
Weekly sessions usually start within a week or two. If it can't wait, the three-day intensive is one client at a time, and if the dates are open I can see you this week. I reply to every request within one to two business days, and no payment is taken until you have decided.
Do I have to be a business owner, or a gay man?
No. Business owners are most of my practice, and a lot of my clients are gay and bisexual men, because I'm a gay man and that's who found me first. People with a job that follows them home are welcome, and so is anyone who read this far and recognised themselves.
Not sure this is for you? That is a fine place to start.
Send a request and tell me what is actually going on. I reply within one to two business days with your intake paperwork and a secure link to pay and pick your time. No payment is taken at the request stage, and if I am not the right person for this I will say so and point you somewhere better.
Requests go to a secure, HIPAA-compliant SimplePractice form — no payment is taken there. Sessions are held online by video, worldwide.
