Work With Me — Good Hypnotherapy for Gay Men
Who I Am
My name is Eugene Berezin. I am a Washington State Registered Hypnotherapist and the founder of Good Hypnotherapy for Gay Men, a private hypnotherapy practice based in Washington State serving clients online across Washington.
I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology (Moscow State Pedagogical University, 2011) and have over a decade of experience in the mental health field, including roles as a clinical psychologist, youth counselor, social work professional, and case manager in behavioral health. Before founding this practice, I worked as a senior iOS developer for companies including T-Mobile, Nordstrom, and Amazon — so I understand firsthand what it means to perform at a high level in a demanding career while carrying things nobody at work knows about.
I am a gay man who immigrated from Russia in 2013. I have lived through religious trauma, immigration, career reinvention, a divorce, and a reconciliation. I bring all of that into this work.

Who I Serve
I help gay men in Washington State, and around the globe, who are successful in their careers but feel stuck, disconnected, or like they are losing ground in their personal lives.
My clients are often dealing with one or more of the following:
You are a nurse, lawyer, doctor, software engineer, or business owner — and you have it together at work, but your personal life tells a different story.
You use sex, hookups, or substances to decompress after a high-stress day, and you know it is not actually helping.
You are winning in your career or your relationship, but not both at the same time — it feels like you have to choose.
You keep attracting partners who cannot give you the same level of safety, support, and intimacy that you offer them.
You are in a same-sex marriage, open relationship, or polyamorous relationship and struggling with jealousy, disconnection, or intimacy.
You carry a very specific kind of stress from being gay and visible in a demanding career — and it spills into everything else.
You have a complicated relationship with your body and self-image that goes deeper than diet and exercise.
You are managing chronic pain or recovering from injury and want to add a focused, evidence-adjacent mind-body approach to your care.
How I Help
I use hypnotherapy combined with evidence-based approaches to help clients access and change the subconscious patterns driving their behavior — not just talk about them.
My core philosophies when it comes to my practice: Internal Family Systems principles, Ego States work, and the components of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
Hypnotherapy works differently than traditional talk therapy. In a focused state of awareness, we go beneath the surface to the unconscious beliefs, stories, and parts of you that are quietly running the show. IFS helps us identify those parts — the part that overperforms at work, the part that reaches for hookups to escape, the part that keeps choosing unavailable men — and work with them directly, not around them.
Areas I specifically work with:
Stress reduction and burnout in high-achieving gay men
Healthy relationships, intimacy, and attraction patterns
Open and polyamorous relationships
Self and body image
Career performance and decision-making
Pain management (as a complement to medical care, with physician approval)
Who I Do Not Serve
This practice is not the right fit for everyone. I do not work with:
People experiencing active psychosis or who require psychiatric stabilization
People in acute crisis who need emergency mental health support — please contact 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) or go to your nearest emergency room
People seeking medication management (I am not a prescriber)
People who want traditional weekly talk therapy with a licensed psychotherapist or licensed counselor — I am a Registered Hypnotherapist, not a licensed therapist in Washington State
People looking for CBT-only or strictly protocol-based treatment without any inner work
People who are not willing to engage with subconscious or parts-based work
What Makes This Practice Different
I am a gay man. I am not a straight therapist with a gay-affirming certificate. I have lived the life my clients are navigating.
I bring clinical training, not just certification. My background includes formal clinical psychology training, years of mental health practice, and advanced training in IFS, ACT, and Ego-State Therapy.
I understand high-performance careers. I spent a decade as a senior tech professional at T-Mobile, Nordstrom, and Amazon. I am not guessing at what that world feels like.
I work with the whole person — the immigrant experience, religious trauma, career identity, relationship structure, sexual behavior patterns — not just the presenting symptom.
I am directive. I give you my honest perspective. I do not just nod.
