Hypnotherapy for gay men

Relationships

A lot of my clients come to me to build healthy, joyous, fulfilled relationships with their significant others.

When it comes to intimacy between two men, there is a very unique dynamic at play. Whether it's an age difference, a racial difference, an international relationship, or a relationship you're building after a major breakup or a major life change, these things require a very careful approach.

Hypnotherapy can help you unlock the parts of yourself that carry connectedness, calmness, creativity, and compassion. So you can see yourself and your partner as your true selves, and not through the lens of wounded parts.

Stress Reduction

Successful gay men in high-demand careers carry a very specific kind of stress. It's not just the job. It's being gay and visible in that job. And that stress doesn't stay at work. It spills into your romantic life, your relationships, your business, your health.

Hypnotherapy helps you identify exactly what's driving that stress and develop new coping mechanisms that actually work. Not just at the surface, but at the level where those patterns were formed.

Self Image and Body Image

Gay culture has a very specific relationship with body image. And it affects your self image, your confidence, your relationships, and how you move through the world.

Weight management in my work is not about getting six packs or hitting a number on a scale. It's about building a healthy self image and deciding for yourself what your standard is. What a good body and a good life looks like for you and your partner. Not what you see online or in adult entertainment.

Hypnotherapy can unlock the specific areas driving your relationship with your body, your self image, and help you build coping mechanisms that are actually yours.

Polyamorous and Open Relationships

Unlike any other group, gay men openly express their preference to not abide by heteronormative standards when it comes to building intimate relationships. Many gay men explore polyamorous and open relationships. And that comes with its own difficulties and tricky territory.

Hypnotherapy can help you approach those relationships from a place of connectedness, compassion, love, joy, and fulfillment. Because only when you operate from those qualities can you build something truly beautiful that fits your lifestyle, your preferences, and your partners.

Skills and Performance

Hypnosis has a very high success rate when it comes to skill enhancement and diving deeper into your capabilities as a human being.

For successful gay men in demanding careers, I offer unique methodologies including your own subconscious console. A tool that allows you to enhance any skill you are learning or have already learned, see obstacles clearly, and make decisions from a place of self leadership, joy, and alignment. Not fear. Not overwhelm.

Pain Management

Gay men are not exempt from experiencing pain. And one of the least talked about qualities of hypnosis is how well it works for pain management.

I offer pain management hypnosis as a complementary treatment, always in collaboration with your physician. If you are under ongoing treatment for chronic pain, or dealing with minor aches and stiffness from injury or tension, hypnosis can be a powerful addition to your care. A doctor's note confirming it is appropriate for you to receive this work is required.

And more importantly, when we address pain, the subconscious mind often shows us what is underneath it.

These are not generic issues and they require someone who understands them from the inside.

What are the benefits of hypnotherapy for improving self image in gay men?

10

Gay culture puts enormous pressure on how you look, how you perform, and how you measure up. Hypnotherapy works at the level where those standards were absorbed in the first place. We identify what is actually driving your relationship with your body and your self image, and we build something that is genuinely yours instead.

How can hypnotherapy help with stress management for gay professionals?

11

Successful gay men in demanding careers carry stress that most stress management tools were not designed for. It is not just professional pressure. It is the additional weight of being gay and visible in those spaces. Hypnotherapy identifies the specific patterns driving your stress and builds new coping mechanisms at the subconscious level where those patterns actually live.

Can hypnotherapy help with navigating open or polyamorous relationships?

12

Yes. Many gay men choose to build relationships outside of heteronormative structures and that is a completely valid choice. Polyamorous and open relationships come with their own unique territory. Hypnotherapy can help you approach those relationships from a place of connectedness, compassion, and genuine fulfillment rather than fear, insecurity, or old wounds.

What do you hypnotize people to do?

13

Nothing. That is not how hypnotherapy works. Hypnosis is a state of focused awareness. In that state we access the subconscious mind, where your beliefs, patterns, and stories actually live. Your subconscious is always alert and will reject any suggestion that does not feel right or safe for you. You are in control the entire time. This is not stage hypnosis. Nobody is clucking like a chicken.

How many sessions does it take to see results?

14

Hypnotherapy is a fast acting short term intervention. Research on fast acting therapies suggests that change typically happens within 6 to 14 sessions. However, your nervous system is uniquely yours and for you it may look a bit different.

Instead of focusing on a number of sessions, I prefer to focus on change work.
